Reading and Writing survey
There are several types of books I enjoy reading. When i read, I mostly read mystery/thriller type books. I like to read these types of books because they are suspenseful and entertaining and they keep you wanting more. They are hard to put down once you get into them. Other types of books I read are history books. Pretty much anything written about past wars or even things such as disasters like the floods or plane crashes. I find history interesting and i enjoy expanding my knowledge about history.
The best book I think I have ever read would be The Watchers by Dean Koontz. I found this book to be an exciting and excellent story that is cleverly written. There wasn't one part of the story were I lost interest. I would say this is the best book that I have read because it had a very strong plot and it is written in a way you just don't see very often. It was broken into perspectives of the different main characters and even other characters and it would alternate between them. As the story moved along the characters perspectives start to collide and they slowly come together as the climax approaches, because of that this story was exhilarating and it had a very strong buildup to the plot. I guess the main reason I like that book was because of the characters and the suspenseful plot, it just sucks you in and makes the book impossible to put down. Another thing i loved about the book was how descriptive it was. It could actually paint a picture in my mind.
A book I have re-read several times is Dean Koontz's The Watchers. I have re-read this book because it is my favourite book. I have probably read this book seven times. It is a very enjoyable book. I find that I can easily get lost in this book. I guess I keep re-reading it because no matter how many times I read it, it feels like I'm reading it for the first which doesn't happen to often
Besides books, other things I read include; magazines, flyer's, comics, car manuals, pretty much whatever interests me. I enjoy these things because they interest me. Magazines I read usually have to do with things I like. I usually read Ski Canada, because I am a skier. I also get car magazines and bmx magazines. I like to learn about cars and learn how to properly tune my bmx racing bike.
